The Game of Saturn – Book Launch
Saturday 1 April @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm| £66
The Game of Saturn – Evening Book Launch with Peter Mark Adams & Scarlet Imprint
The Game of Saturn by Peter Mark Adams is the first full-length study of the Sola-Busca tarot, an enigmatic Renaissance masterwork of supreme importance for the history of tarot cards and for Renaissance esoteric symbolism. The book crosses the boundaries of Renaissance scholarship, art history, tarot studies and the history of Western esotericism. In a remarkable and bold proposal, the author argues for the existence of pagan liturgical and ritual activity amongst Europe’s fifteenth century elite, arising from the influence of the pagan Byzantine philosopher Plethon.
Join us for a vibrant evening which will be a truly wonderful occasion. There will be a half-hour talk starting at 7.30 pm, which will be followed by a social evening, including drinks and refreshments. The author will be personally signing copies of the book for those attending. Publishers Peter Grey and Alkistis Dimech are your hosts for the night and look forward to meeting you in person.
The book and event together are the same price as the book on its own, so you can sign up below and you will collect your book on the night and enjoy the evening. Scarlet Imprint wish it to be known that they will not be issuing a paperback or digital edition of this title. If you already pre-ordered the title directly with Scarlet Imprint, please get in touch with them to gain free entry to the event.
