About The Event

In this series Hannah outlines the key skills requested of witches and wise folk within their communities today. In all our neighbourhoods, across time and place, witches have been asked to bring comfort, aid and insight in times of joy and sorrow. Here we will explore the many magical elements of living a life in service to the pulse of old cunning magic. Omens and Portents. In this class Hannah unveils how to read the signs we see around us everyday. Witches are often asked to advise on such signs and discover the best times and days for actions for those in their communities, from the movement of the celestial realms to the flight of birds, the astrology of the heavens and the shifting patterns of the land give us valuable information that help us make decisions in difficult times.

Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
