Ash Magic & Secret Sigils – Workshop

Ash from fire has long been used as a magical material for blessing, invisibility and initiation.

In this online workshop, cunning woman Hannah Sanders teaches students how to use ash to craft powerful spells for rebirth and renewal. The group learns about its magical and folkloric history, exploring an array of ashen arts, from making powders for invisibility to blending special inks for spell records. Students also delve into the practice of making 'secret sigils': tracing personal symbols in ash for magical purposes, before dispersing it around the home or on the body. These methods can be used for protection, initiation rites and spells for general well-being.

Please bring: a notepad, pen and (if you wish), a handful's worth of ash – either from fire or burned plant.
