This small book is a curious work by a past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas, detailing the esoteric symbolism and sacred geometry of Solomon's temple; it is subtitled, 'The Pillars of the Porch of King Solomon's Temple'. We present it here in its first and only edition, dated 1948. This copy has a presentation inscription by a fellow Freemason, S.G. Holden, to the front end paper, with publisher's label tipped in.

Jachin and Boaz: The Pillars of the Porch of King Solomon's Temple. Jewel P. Lightfoot. 1948. First and only edition, Texas: Masonic Education Service, 1948. 8vo, textured card wraps printed in black, 61pp with a tissue guarded frontispiece, portrait photograph to title, diagrams and other illustrations in the text, and two coloured plates included in the pagination. faint crease to lower corner of rear wrapper and last half of leaves, a couple of trivial marks to covers, minor spots to a couple of margins, text clean and tight. Overall a very good copy of an extremely rare work.
