John Dee's Five Books of Mystery
This book is a pubication of John Dee's own private writings in which he outlined the occult workings which led to his astrally receiving from the angels a divine language 'Enochian'. These five 'books' cover the period between March 1582 and May 1583, a fruitful time in his magical workings with his cohort, the scryer Edward Kelley. This new edition of his work is by far the most accessible and complete published to date, being the work of the respected Joseph Peterson, whose editorship is acclaimed. Five Books is one of the core texts for Enochian magic, and is a classic of the Western esoteric tradition.
