Anna-Marie Ferguson's beloved Arthurian Tarot was first issued by Llewellyn in 1995, and is here offered in a rare complete boxed set of the first printing of the first edition, with the addition of some charming ephemera in the form of correspondence from 1995 and 1996 from the author. One letter discusses admission to the Pendragon Society, the other details sales of the deck in Canada alongside an autographed 'press sheet'. The deck itself is also signed by Ferguson on one of the 'Dragon Cards'.
This deck's imagery is taken from Arthurian myth - characters like Percivale, Nimue and the Lady of the Lake are given to the arcana, and the booklet describes both the card's meaning in terms of tarot and also says something about the Celtic myth's character. The minor arcana are illustrated with scenes from the tales, too: the five of swords, for example, shows 'Gawain's penance', and the Eight of Cups features the montrous hand of The Chapel Perilous. A truly stunning and rare boxed deck for the collector with a love of things Celtic.
