Magia de Profundis - Frederick Hockley
Frederick Hockley (1809-1885) was an English occultist and Freemason, widely considered by his peers to be one of the great occult scholars of the period. This is a finely-produced facsimile edition of one of Hockley's manuscripts which shows Hockley's wide range of interest, as its content includes material as diverse as lists of Goetic spirits, witchcraft notes, and accounts of the practices of cunning folk. It is a snapshot of the esoteric life of a London man of well-to-do professional standing, who was dedicated to esoteric matters, and it illustrates the range of interest, from low magic to high, which is more typical than we normally tend to think.
