Metaphysical Phenomena - J. Maxwell (1st English edn)
Dr Joseph Maxwell, M.D., Deputy Attorney General of the Court of Appeals, Bordeaux, France, was a pioneering psychical researcher who studied in-depth cases of psychic phenomena, telepathy and other unexplained occurrences of that nature. He was highly active in France, undertaking first-hand study of actual events and people. Maxwell's work is full of tales of moving tableware, thought forms, psychic energy fields, and unexplained occurrences - in short, specialising in what is called telekenesis and psychokenenis. He published this work in 1903 (in French) in which he relates his experiments and experiences. This first English edition followed a mere two years later. It was an influential book in both French and English, and is a work which is a formative text in the shaping of the field of psychic research.
