The Art and Practice of Geomancy - John Michael Greer
Geomancy was a popular form of European divination during the medieval and early modern period, which dropped out of popular culture after the Englightenment. This is a useful introduction which explains it, how it works, and how to do it. It is a somewhat complex procedure, so Greer's clear, step-by-step instructions are particularly welcome. He gives equally clear and necessary guidance on how to interpret results. This is an important book for students and scholars, as references to geomancy and geomantic figures the permeate pre-modern esoteric corps. In addition, it is a pleasure to be able to take up, practically, the form of divination which was so much more popular than card reading up until the nineteenth century.
