The Thoth Tarot deck was created in the early 1940s by Aleister Crowley in collaboration with the artist Freida Harris. This is Crowley's own in-depth guide to his tarot, and the book is one of his more accessible works. It analyses each card meaning in considerable depth, with attention to the symbols found in the illustration's details. Through the tarot, Crowley here relates principles of his interpretatation of magic, alchemy and Qabalah. This is not an easy book, but it is an important one. It is esssential for students who want to work seriously with a tarot deck which is embedded in the system of Thelema.
This new edition is a facsimile of the 1969 Weiser hardcover edition first published in 1969. It features colour-corrected, full-colour plates depicting eight of the original tarot card images, and updated black-and-white illustrations of the entire deck.
