Subtitled ‘Air, Fire, Water, and Earth in the Wiccan Circle,’ this book delves into the meaning and power of the ritual magic circle to aid readers in understanding why circle casting is an important part of ritual, and how to create more meaning in one’s practice.

The aim of this book is to reveal the deeper meaning and spiritual significance of circle casting, an integral part of most Wiccan rituals, and a practice that is often taken for granted in other books containing a variety of pre-written spells. By the end of reading The Elements of Ritual, not only will the practitioner understand each stage of circle casting and its underlying meaning, but they will also be able to apply this knowledge and understanding to creating bespoke rituals for themselves and others. The structure of this book begins with an introduction to Wiccan circle casting, followed by an in-depth exploration of the four elements. The framework of the four elements integral to Wicca and many nature-based religions, Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, is used throughout the book in order to assist in the understanding of the process, mythology, mysticism, and theology of ritual magical practice. This is an updated edition adding alternate orders and options along with traditional methods, intended to assist in the continual development of magical methods over time. The foreword is provided by Wiccan priestess and author Thorn Mooney.
