The Middle Pillar - Israel Regardie
The Middle Pillar, first published in 1938, was one of the first books to bring a psychological perspective to magic and practical occultism. In it, Israel Regardie analyses and explains The Middle Pillar exercise, which is a key personal energy exercise undertaken by all trainee magicians in the Order of the Golden Dawn. Regardie, and many after him, are convinced it is of universal benefit to all magical practitioners, so it is commonly used as a regular practice, by both beginners and long-term adepts. The book covers symbolism, purpose, ritual methods, magical theory, visualization and the symbolism of the Tree of Life. It also includes practical guidance on how to perform the excercise.
This new edition is edited, annotated and expanded by longstaning Golden Dawn occultists Chic and Tabatha Cicero.
