The Music of Plato - Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor (1758-1835) was the first English translator of the works of Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus and the later Platonists. The Music of Plato, adapted by Guy Wyndham-Jones, is a collection of Taylor's poems and meditations, inspired and deeply influenced by the ancient philosophy he so loved and strove to live by. Thematically arranged according to the parts of the day - morning, afternoon, evening and night, this beautiful collection of Taylor's verses offers much food for meditation, contemplation and reflection on the divine principles, union with deities, and our relationship with the natural world.
