Occult artist J.H.W. Eldermans (1904-1985) was a Dutch civil servant who had a lifelong interest in magic - sexual magic in particular - and who left a large and intriguing body of work. His vast oeuvre of writing, sketches and objects now resides in the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft and Magic.

Wilmar Taal probes the mysterious Eldermans' life and explores his relationship to the occult culture of the 20th century. Illustrated with photographs of the artist and his works, this is a fascinating look at an important European occultist and collector. Wilmar Taal MA is a cultural historian, specialising in sagas, myths and the occult sciences.
