The two volumes (this being volume one) of Verdant Gnosis present selected articles from the inaugural Viridis Genii Symposium, held at Damascus, Oregon in 2015 The papers presented at the symposium (and here) are by professional herbalists, plant alchemists and bioregional animists. They relate histories of the ways in which traditions (Umbanda, alchemy, traditional witchcraft) have cultivated symbiotic relationships between humans and the vegetable kingdom. They also offer ideas, suggestions and techniques with which the reader may begin to communicate with plant intelligences, and to work with them in the cause of spiritual advancement. Verdant Gnosis is the creation of Jenn Zahrt.
