This handsome brooch of the green man portrays the spirit of nature – here in autumn colours and tones. This carving is a miniature copy of a boss carving in the famous Rosslyn Chapel. The abundance of versions of the Green Man in medieval buildings attests to the ongoing significance of natural imagery in the religious life of the period.
It is 3cm in diameter, about the size of a 50-pence piece. It goes perfectly on a coat, beret, dress or lapel. The photo shows it snug in its black gift box.
