SOLD OUT. Witches, Sl*ts and Feminists – Young Witches Today

Witches, Sluts and Feminists – Young Witches Today

Conversation with Kristen Sollee, Shy Charles, and Ayesha Tan Jones

Sold out.

Young, feminist and  uncompromising: a younger generation has exploded across Instagram and Snapchat, and arising in warehouse spaces, DIY scenes and in art schools, and they are embracing the image and identity of the witch. In their armory of magic are the basics of astrology and a passion for crystals – and did we mention activism?  One of the most influential books of this uprising is the recent release above, which came from the Brooklyn scene. Tonight we meet the author, Kristen Sollee, visiting from New York, for a panel conversation with Shy Charles, Ayesha Tan Jones, and moderated by Brooke Palmieri. The three compare notes on youth magic culture (British and American), address unashamed sexuality and  — of course — ask what kind of rebellion is engendered in the witch identity.

Kristen Sollee is in London on a short visit. We promise a great time. Social follows., where Kristen will be signing copies of her book.

Price: £9   Ring, or book online

Time: Arrive 7.15 pm for a 7.30 pm start
