About The Event
Artists across disciplines have long turned to the occult to guide their creativity and invite inspiration from beyond.
In this in-person soirée at Treadwell’s, Pam Grossman (of the famed Witch Wave podcast) explores the magical tools artists use to spark and shape their work. In conversation with Christina, she discusses David Bowie’s songwriting divinations, Sylvia Plath’s Ouija-borne poetry sessions and Hilma af Klint’s abstract painting séances. She also shares the magical techniques she and her circle use to write, paint and bring new work into being. This evening celebrates Pam’s new book, Magic Maker: The Enchanted Path to Creativity, marking a rare and brief visit to the UK. We end with a Q&A before heading upstairs for complimentary drinks.
Pam Grossman is a writer, curator and teacher of magical practice and history. She hosts The Witch Wave podcast and is the author of Waking the Witch: Reflections on Women, Magic,…
