For magical practitioners, ritual is something central to the art. Ritual also plays a large role in the worship of the old gods and goddesses -- the pagan path.  For newer folk, ceremony can be a bit daunting; it is a bit step, but an exciting one, to go even further and start designing them. In this workshop, Rebecca looks at the cultural meanings of ritual,  then goes over the key components that make them up. She then gives guidance on how to go about composing a rite, so that by the end of the session participants can make a start in this magical art.

Rebecca Beattie brings an informative approach to her inclusive style or teaching, aimed at those starting out. A Wiccan priestess who apprenticed in her tradition over 15 years, she brings much lived experience and practical knowledge. She has an MA in Literature (London) and a doctorate in Creative Writing (Middlesex) with a dissertation on the modernist mystic Mary Webb. She is a published author with several books to her name.
