Developing the Volva – a course on Seidr

In this follow up to the popular beginner's Seidr course 'Awakening the Volva', Andre and Katie seek to develop your skills and confidence within 'seeing' and journeying. Covering more in-depth experience with the Nine Worlds, working with Norse deities, Ancestors, and taking animal form, the material covered can be applied to both solo and group practice.

Through exploration of the historical sources and contemporary techniques, participants will be guided and supported to develop their practice of Seidr, the Scandinavian shamanistic and oracular ways where Volvas would foresee the threads of fate and advise their communities.

This course is most suitable for participants who already have a basic knowledge of Seidr. This is covered in the 'Awakening the Volva' course which will run again in 2024.

Katie is the author of Seidr: The Gate is Open and has led rites and workshops within Seidr for over two decades (including at Treadwell’s).

Andre researched Seidr for his MA dissertation on practices and personal cosmologies of contemporary Norse-inspired Seidr practitioners. He has led ceremonies, lectures, and workshops in the Northern Traditions of Europe for many years.
