Hermetic Magical Training, Stage 1 – 4-Part Course

Hermetic magic is arguably the gateway into all western magic.

In this 4-part course, Julia Phillips teaches stage 1 of a full training programme in this ancient system, tracking the development of magic from the classical world to the 21st century. This stage is called ‘Exploring the Elemental Realms’ and is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of Air, Fire, Water and Earth. By the end, everyone will have a theoretical grasp of the elemental realms in magic, and know how to open (and close) the gateways into those realms. They'll also have experience of meeting the most important beings within them.

Each class runs for 2 hours from 7-9pm, focusing on a different element every week. Julia begins the class with a presentation on theory, followed by a guided visualisation to explore the elemental realm and its inhabitants. The class concludes with a group discussion and a Q&A.
