Incense Magic Workshop - For Success and Fortune

Incense has been used for aeons as a sacrifice to the gods for the bestowing of fortunes and favours. In this class, Hannah Sanders teaches how to blend and combine herbal ingredients to make loose incense for burning on charcoal. Creating  incense 'pastilles' (also for burning on charcoal) will be covered as well. With a combination of pathworking and meditation, participants will contact the inner allies of the herbs, and then will combine the components to make incense for a magical purpose: to bring about fortune and success.

Participants will need: honey, a little red wine (can be old!), apple/apple juice, bay, rosemary, and charcoal disks.

Optional: vervain, St Johns' wort, dragon's blood resin.

Hannah Sanders has spent almost three decades working in initiatory witchcraft traditions – treading the path of witch, enchantress and teacher. She is an award-winning folk singer and guitarist, having recorded three albums and appeared on stages across the world, and she gained her PhD in contemporary witchcraft, authoring several books on teen culture, feminism and magic, including her monograph Children of The Green: Raising our Kids in Pagan Traditions (2014, Moon Books). She was the final apprentice of esteemed writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and a founding member of the Norwich Chant Collective. A lover of chanting, dancing and herbal magics when she is not travelling and singing, she makes wild wines, forages and communes with our green allies.
