It’s widely believed that solitary witchcraft and initiatory Wicca are opposing paths. Yet, most initiated witches also have an active solo practice.
In this online class, longstanding practitioner Rebecca Beattie gives an overview of both paths, covering where they cross over and diverge. Participants learn about the history of Wicca, the emergence of solitary witchcraft in the US and how they’ve influenced one another. She also discusses initiation and self-dedication, hierarchy and autonomy, and finding the right training. By the end, participants will not only have a more grounded understanding of the real differences between these paths, but practical guidance for approaching initiatory groups, or developing a confident solitary practice.
