Ithell Colquhoun's Occult Secrets - Amy Hale Soiree

In this evening special to the Treadwell's audience, visiting expert Dr Amy Hale shares unpublished research on the occult / magical practices of British artist Ithell Colquhoun (1906-1988). Taking the form of a discussion between Dr Amy and her friend Christina Oakley Harrington, Amy dives into her times with druidry, trance states, sex magic, secret orders, clandestine rites and stone circles. Dr Amy Hale is an Atlanta-based anthropologist and folklorist writing about esoteric history, art, culture, women and Cornwall in various combinations. Her new book is Sex Magic: Ithell Colquhoun's Diagrams of Love. She has also written the artist's biography Genius of the Fern Loved Gully.
