Two occultist-academics discuss the nature of paganism, Eastern vs Western philosophy, and a life spent in study of these subjects.
In this online event, Julian Vayne joins Professor Michael York for a wide-ranging conversation. They consider the plurality of paganism, its relationship to liminality, the distinction between its telluric and gnostic forms, and what constitutes blasphemy within it. They also tackle the differences between Eastern ideas of harmony and order, and Western notions of freedom and individualism.
Expect an evening of radical ideas and informed reflections from one of our most respected tutors and an esteemed elder of the pagan community.
Michael York is an elder in the pagan community with many years of experience both as a practitioner and a scholar. After spending much time travelling throughout Europe, he co-founded the Strawberry Hill coven in San Francisco in 1968, before emigrating to the continent.
