About The Event
Vinegar recipes are often found in old books as elixirs for long life and eternal beauty. More than that, 'sours' are found around the world as part of many magical traditions, but yet most of us know very little about them. In this workshop, Hannah Sanders teaches the lore of herbal and floral vinegars from the European folk traditions. She will demonstrate the famed Four Thieves Vinegar, a famous French prophylactic against disease, and she will also show how participants can make magical vinegars at home.
To join in: bring rosemary, meadowsweet, marjoram, cloves, juniper berries, mint, pine, lavender
Hannah Sanders is an award-winning folk singer and guitarist, who in her private life has spent almost three decades working in initiatory witchcraft traditions. A former academic with an Anthropology PhD, she has published on teen culture, feminism and magic. Her books include Children of the Green: Raising our Kids in Pagan Traditions.
