New Moon Lunar Magic in Gemini - Sound Bath

Nicole Bettencourt Coelho hosts a ritualised sound journey for a direct, deep encounter with the powers of each zodiacal energy as the new moon moves through the signs. This series is dedicated to the new moon - container and vessel, pulse of time,  magic mirror. The evening opens with a hypnotic visualisation to enter a dream-like state, enhanced by incenses, then moves into a meditation in sound, in which each person bathes in the lunar resonances of gongs, crystal bowls, and shakers. On the altar, the group then ceremoniously create a lunar tincture, and some may be taken home to form part of an ongoing meditation beyond the event. Dress comfortably, as you will be lying down for up to 45 minutes. Bring a blanket, and a notebook if you would like to write about your experience afterwards.

Nicole Bettencourt Coelho is a musician, sound therapist and sound artist with an interest in semiotics, ritual forms and queer magic. Their work explores sound and visualisation to effect transformation in the context of trance.
