About The Event
The second Pagan Phoenix online conference will be about a subject of crucial importance to all of us right now: how we relate to the beings we share our planet with. Come and join us for a day of talks and discussion about animism, animal spirits, magical beasts, art, magic and how we might work with animals magically, spiritually and in the everyday world too. The line-up of speakers will include;
Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen of Nordic Animism, nordicanimism.com
Susan Aberth, renowned art historian, who will speak about Spirit Animals in the art of Leonora Carrington bard.edu/faculty
Dr Merv Davey who will speak about the magical Cornish Guising Beasts who once more perform their ritual dances in the streets of Cornwall exeter.academia.edu/MervDavey
There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions.
The conference will take place live online from 10.30 to 17.00 on Saturday 9th March 2024 and everyone is welcome, wherever in the world they live. The Pagan Phoenix community is growing and they would like to invite you all to join it. Tickets for the day grant you access to the event and also to a recording for up to 14 days after the conference, so please join us even if you are in a very different time zone from ours.
Pagan Phoenix is a not-for-profit community interest company based in Devon and Cornwall (UK). It is run by Pagans and magical practitioners for the Pagan and magical community. They have no paid staff; everyone who helps out is a volunteer and all profits are ploughed back into running more conferences and events. Wherever in the world you may be, the Pagan Phoenix community welcomes you.
If you would like to find out more about their work or talk to them about becoming involved, please contact the organisers through their website.
