About The Event

The second Pagan Phoenix online conference concerns a subject of crucial importance: how the human race relates to the beings with whom it shares the planet. Wherever in the world you might be, the growing Pagan Phoenix community invites you for a day of talks and discussion on animism, magical beasts, art and working with animals spiritually.

The conference will take place online from 10.30 to 17.00 on Saturday 9 March 2024. Tickets for the day grant access to the conference, plus a recording of the event for up to 14 days afterwards, so you can join us even if in a completely different time zone. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions throughout the day.

The programme will include:

10:30 Welcome

10:45-11:45 Rufus Harrington, Senior Lecturer at University of Cumbria, discusses the God of the Witches (‘The Horned Flame’).

12:00-13:00 Dr Merv Davey introduces the magical Cornish Guising Beasts who perform ritual dances in the streets of Cornwall.
