Phil Hine's New Book – Launch & Party

Join us for an intimate evening at Treadwell's with the illustrious occultist as he discusses his new work on the chakras.

In Wheels Within Wheels: Chakras and Western Esotericism, Hine expands on the information contained within his sought-after booklets and traces the concept of chakras from their earliest appearances in Indian religious culture. He then examines their movement through tantric lineages and into the West, where they not only captured the imagination of western occultists but later became a central feature of the New Age movement.

The night kicks off with a half-hour interview on the sofa with Christina Oakley Harrington. Hine speaks about chakra schemas, yoginis, Shakti and Shiva, with anecdotes along the way. We'll then take it upstairs for drinks, informal chats and book signings.

Please arrive around 6.50pm for a 7pm start. The sofa interview will take place between 7.00 – 7.45 pm (seated downstairs). The party and book signings will take place between 7.45 – 9.15 pm.
