From the evil eye to impotency spells, magical history is full of dastardly curses and countercurses.
In this online workshop, Rebecca Beattie examines the five most popular curses in history and provides guidance on how to defend against them. After introducing each curse, Rebecca dives into the counter-magic, exploring various types of protective remedies as laid out in the Grimoire tradition, and how they have evolved for modern use. A practical section follows, when students are taught a few simple protection spells to be carried out at home. The spells include: a traditional salt and water blessing, the making of a witch bottle, and casting a protective circle.
