Psychedelic Magic – In-Person Workshop

The ability to achieve an altered state of consciousness has long been considered essential in occult, shamanic and spiritual practices.

In this 4-hour intensive workshop, Julian Vayne makes a rare appearance in-person at Treadwell's to explore this compelling art. Drawing insights from both traditional entheogenic cultures and modern neurological research, Julian teaches an array of time-tested methods for creating psychedelic states including shaking, spinning, dancing, drumming and breathwork. The group also discusses the benefits and pitfalls of employing psychedelic substances. Suitable for both experienced and newer practitioners, this workshop is highly recommended for anyone interested in inducing altered states for magical purposes.

Runs from 1-5pm at Treadwell's in the basement area. Strictly limited to 16 attendees. Tea and coffee provided onsite. Please note that some practices in this workshop (such as group chanting, dancing, breathwork, etc.) may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions. Julian Vayne is an occultist with over 35 years’ experience. His work is informed by chaos magic, Wicca and eastern mysticism. A regular workshop leader and speaker, he is co-organiser of the psychedelic conference Breaking Convention, and sits on the academic board of The Journal of Psychedelic Studies.
