About The Event
The late Victorian Edwardian periods were the era when women's suffrage made great strides, thanks to the tireless work, organisation, writing and activism of men and women devoted to the cause. Members of esoteric orders were committed suffrage activists -- in significant numbers. How did the occultism square with the ideals underpinning women's equality? Why were so many occultists also suffragettes? Dr Chris Giudice tells all, in this the second lecture in his 'Occultism and Modernity' series. You'll never see the Order of the Golden Dawn in the same way again.....
Dr Chris Giudice earned his doctorate at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, his Master's in Esotericism from Exeter's famed EXESEO programme, and his first degree from Oxford. He is a researcher, publisher and lecturer, now based in London.
