About The Event
Witch bottles have been made and used for protection against negative magic and ill-wishing, since the middle ages. They are attested in archaeology and in textual records. This class looks at both historic and modern examples, before turning to help each person make their own personalised witch bottle to take home. All supplies included (though it’s advised to bring some personal bits and pieces relating to your life and your aims and hopes).
Tutor Tanya Moulding is an expert in historic scents, oils and perfumes with a special interest in folk magic practices. This is one of her most popular Treadwell's classes. Tanya has taught and demonstrated at a range of English Heritage sites, including Hampton Court Palace. Her personal website is https://www.theperfumemistress.com/
