About The Event

'Wheel of the Year' Workshop Series

In the witches' wheel of the year,  the autumn equinox is an important holiday, dedicated to the time of the fruit harvests, falling leaves and lengthening nights. Tonight explores the way witches see this time, and how they mark it. In the first hour and a half Rebecca gives an illustrated talk interspersed with discussion. The last half hour is given over to working hands-on piece on seasonal folk magic, which Rebecca will demonstrate, and attendees can follow at home. Optional: bring an apple, some paper, some seeds, a candle.

Rebecca Beattie brings an informative approach and inclusive style to her teaching, which is aimed at those starting out. A Wiccan priestess who apprenticed in her tradition over 15 years, she brings much lived experience and practical knowledge. She has an MA in Literature (London) and a doctorate in Creative Writing (Middlesex) with a dissertation on the modernist mystic Mary Webb. Rebecca is a published author with several books to her name.
