About The Event
Whether as a sign of approaching Sidhe or a warning of approaching disaster, bells are an integral part of folk magic tradition across Europe. Said to carry with them apotropaic properties, bells are used in magic for protection and benediction, but they are also heralds for unseen futures almost upon us. Led by Treadwell’s folk witch Hannah Sanders, in this class you will explore how to weave the ancient use of bells into charms and amulets for yourself and your loved ones.
Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
