About The Event
This two-part workshop explores some old charms and spells. If focusses on a selection from the Scottish Carmina Gadelica, and from the Anglo-Saxon collections Lacnunga,Bald’s Leechbook and the Old English Herbarium. Suzanne unpacks the charms, incantations and blessings one by one, explaining context and meaning, then turns to consider ways one can adapt them for current magical practice. These materials, she shows, are particularly inspiring for use in self-protection, home-blessing and the honouring of pagan seasons. Please note the 2 week break between classes 1 & 2. Dates are 19th May & 9th June.
