About The Event
Old Folklore Series
The four humours were considered to be the fundamental building blocks of nature, from ancient Greece down to the 18th century. They correspond to the four elements of earth, air, fire and water; hence the phrase, 'fiery temper', for example. Using those same energies within plants, people used to re-balance their physical selves and their temperamental highs and lows. Â Hannah Sanders teaches the basics of the art in this lively class. Each person makes a personal humoural chart, learns their temperament, and applies the herbs are appropriate to them. Bring: birth chart (or date, time & place of birth). White candle, paper, clean jar. Some favourite herbs and flowers.
Hannah Sanders is a traditional folk singer as well as being witch and magical herbalist. She was also the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller.
