About The Event
This workshop introduces grimoire magic, which has its roots in the middle ages, and whose books -- grimoires -- are guides to the spirits, angels, magic circles, triangles of evocation, wands, swords, pentacles and words of invocation.  Beginning with an overview talk of the books and ritual form, the main part of the workshop focusses on actually working grimoire magic. Tutor Rob Rider Hill covers basic core practices, outlines some shortcuts, and teaches a streamlined evocation process for working with the four rulers of the elements/ directions. Attendees leave with practical experience, some freshly-consecrated tools, and a groundwork for ongoing Goetic workings and spirit magic. The class is informative, friendly and engaging.Â
Rob Rider Hill  is a longstanding practitioner and student of grimoire magic, who has both taught and published on the subject. His authority in the field is complemented by his experiences in lodge magic and chaos magic; recent years have seen him working on the deconstruction and reconstruction of the processes within the Grimorium Verum and Key of Solomon textual variants. Rob lives in London, has a professional background as a chef, reads Marseiile tarot and is one of Treadwell's most popular tutors.
