About The Event
The hermetic tradition is central to ceremonialists and ritual magicians from the Renaissance to the present, and its foundation lies in late antiquity. As the writings of the Greek Hermetica have shown, these ideas can be as helpful today as they were in the second century. This workshop outlines hermetic principles and applies them the human-plant relationship, so attendees can forge a deeper, more meaningful experience with our their local environments. Hannah Sanders has a background in witchcraft, anthropology and plant lore, and she will be making herbal talismans, applying the hermetic principles for modern earth magicians.
Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
