About The Event
Scotland’s witch trials led to the persecution of nearly 4,000 people – the vast majority of them women.
In this in-person event, Claire Mitchell KC and Zoe Venditozzi join Christina on the Treadwell's sofa to discuss witch hunts, patriarchy and the acclaimed Witches of Scotland campaign. Claire and Zoe are co-authors of the bestselling How to Kill a Witch: A Guide for the Patriarchy, which explores Scotland’s witch persecutions between 1563 and 1736. The evening celebrates the book's paperback launch, and also considers the campaign's work, which has included public recognition and government-endorsed pardons. A Q&A and complimentary drinks soirée follows, with signed copies of the book available at a discounted price.
