Imbolc Magic - Workshop

In the witches' wheel of the year, Imbolc falls on the eve of February 1st, a time of the Celtic feast of the goddess Brigit, taking place near the time of the old Christian Candlemas. Tonight explores the way witches see this time, and how they mark it. The workshop includes an illustrated talk with discussion, as well as a hands-on practical demonstration in which participants will work on their own piece of seasonal folk magic. To join in, please bring a white candle, a bowl, and some ink or food colouring.

Dr Rebecca Beattie has spent more than twenty years studying and practicing witchcraft and Wicca, and has a deep understanding of the traditions underpinning the practices.
