About The Event

From rites of passage to annual celebrations, ritual is an intrinsic part of the human experience.

In this class for early-stage explorers, a longstanding practitioner considers the effect that ritual has on the psyche, and how it can become a core component of a magical life. Rebecca examines different types of ceremony, from connecting with deities and spirits of the land to marking the changing seasons. She also gives participants guidance on designing their own rites for a range of occasions. If you’re looking to get started with ritual, or develop a greater appreciation of how it works, this class is for you.

The 'Ways Into Witchcraft' class series is dedicated to introducing beginners to different gateways into magic, with a particular focus on witchcraft and Wicca. The other events in the series are: Introduction to Pagan Paths (15 April), Initiatory vs Solitary Wicca (13 May), Where Wicca Came From (3 June) and Witchcraft’s Big Ideas (15 July). If the event has passed and you'd like to catch up, please contact to access delayed viewing.

Rebecca Beattie has spent over two decades practising witchcraft. A Wiccan priestess of 15 years, she has a rich understanding of the history and traditions underpinning pagan practice. She also has a doctorate in Creative Writing and is a published author. Her books include Wheel of the Year: A Nurturing Guide and the  pagan toolkit for navigating major life changes, The Way Through the Woods. Website:
