About The Event
There is a wealth of magical folklore associated with Ireland. But is there such a thing as Irish magic, and if so, what is its nature?
Celtic spirituality was often romanticised in the 20th century pagan revival, but the actual historical sources have largely been ignored. This illustrated lecture presents a summary of the actual texts and sources about druids, fairies, and witches, as well as the esoteric magic of occultists including W. B. Yeats and "Æ" Russell. It concludes with a discussion of this unique tradition's value to contemporary practitioners, posing the question: how can one work authentic Irish Magic?
After the talk, there'll be an audience Q&A followed by complimentary wine and conversation upstairs. Recommended for all those interested in exploring this rich magical culture.
