About The Event
The goddess Isis has been honoured for over five thousand years, first in Egypt, then throughout the Graeco-Roman world. Temples of Isis have been found from Africa to Hadrian’s Wall, and ascross Asia. Her worship survived into Christianity, often in surprising ways. Her rites were central to the occult revival of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and form and important part of witchcraft, paganism and magical practice now. In this workshop Levannah will outline the history and practice of the rites of Isis and the role She plays in contemporary occult and magical practice. The workshop will include meditations and exercises and will show you how to develop your own Isian rituals.
Levannah Morgan is a witch and magical practitioner. Brought up in Anglesey, she has lived in Devon for many years where she leads a coven. She works in the creative arts as an artist and filmmaker -- as well as an author whose books include The Sea Witch's Companion and A Witch's Mirror.
