About The Event
Carl Jung's close circle included remarkable – even magical – women who inspired his creativity, developing and spreading his ideas. Vivianne Crowley's lecture explores the lives of three of these women – Dr Sabina Spielrein, Toni Wolff and Dr Esther Harding. Their work is at the heart of Carl Jung’s theories. One of the world’s best-known psychologists, Jung's writings on archetypes, the collective unconscious, dreams, synchronicity and spiritual alchemy are major influences on contemporary esotericism and magic. Notably, pioneers of the pagan witchcraft and goddess spirituality revivals found inspiration in Jung's insights into the importance of the Divine Feminine, the Goddess. This is the second in a three-lecture series on Jung and his close collaborators.
Dr Vivianne Crowley PhD is an internationally renowned Wiccan high priestess and a bestselling author. She is a psychologist and lectures on the psychology of religion and on contemporary Pagan and magical traditions at universities and events worldwide. She is the author of numerous books on Wicca, Paganism and natural magic, and two on Jung – Carl Jung: A Journey of Transformation (Quest), and Jungian Spirituality (HarperCollins). With her husband Chris, she runs experiential spiritual psychology weekends drawing on Jung's work.
