About The Event

London's witchcraft history is the theme of this tour, and Maria Beadell introduces the women persecuted as witches: the medieval healers, the Elizabethan social climbers, the pagan priestesses, and the wartime mediums. Get ready for moments of street theatre and character acting, in this rollicking walk relating their stories often with comedic surprises. She takes the group to places the women were associated with, including a pagan temple.

Meet: outside Farringdon tube Station at 7.50, tour leaves 8.00 precisely. Duration: 1.5 hours, ending at St Pauls Cathedral.

Guests are permitted to take photos but recording or filming of the tour is not allowed.

Maria is an independent writer, performer and actor who is fascinated by women's history in the capital. Treadwell's is delighted to be working with her.
