About The Event
'Modern Paganism' refers to the movement grounded in past paganisms and life-affirming nature reverince, which has flourished since the mid 20th century. Join us as Rebecca Beattie outlines the main features of some of the more defined paths, or traditions within it. She touches on druidry, Northern Tradition, Wicca and a few others, discussing practices, expectations and approaches. Bring your questions and observations: it's interactive! For the activity, there will be instruction on how to design a simple sigil, with instructions on how to charge it. 'Ways into Witchcraft' is an exciting series from our popular tutor Rebecca Beattie. Each workshopcan be taken on its own.
Rebecca Beattie brings almost two decades of experience; she is much-loved for her highly-informed approach, which she combines with a warm, inclusive style. She is a Wiccan priestess who apprenticed in her tradition over 15 years, and thus much lived experience to her teaching. A published author, her titles are Nature Mystics, Somewhere She is There, The Lychway, and many articles. She has an MA in literature (University of London) and a doctorate in Creative Writing (Middlesex), specialising in the modernist mystic Mary Webb. Her website: https://www.rebeccabeattie.co.uk/
