This spooky season, come and meet the ghosts of witches and 'working girls' of the old City...
In her brand new 1-hour tour, Maria Beadell explores the history of London's mystical and marginalised women. Starting at the Monument and ending at Tower Hill, the group weaves through the streets, visiting the hidden locations where many strange-but-true episodes unfolded. Expect to hear about an infamous phantom lady of the financial district, a satanic noblewoman, a prophetess who predicted 'cat ladies' (amongst other things), notorious fishwives, martyrs, rebels and more. At the end of the journey, attendees have the option to join Maria for a tipple at the famous Hung, Drawn and Quartered pub.
Please arrive no later than 8:20pm outside the Monument to the Great Fire of London. Maria will be wearing a long skirt and hooded cloak. The tour leaves at 8:30pm precisely and finishes at 9:30pm.
