About The Event

The use of blessed water is an important magical tradition all over the world.

In this online workshop, green witch Hannah Sanders teaches students how to make and employ magical washes. Frequently used in works of protection and cleansing, blessed water can be a potent substance for healing rituals and banishing spells. The class also explores the benefits of ‘collecting’ water in various locations, from vials of morning dew to samples from lakes and ocean. Designed for both the beginner and experienced practitioner, expect to blend several types of sacred water and learn a core skill in magical practice.

Students will craft: Tool Consecration Wash, Blessing Water, Hydrosols

Please bring rosemary, mint, spring water and sea salt. Optional: dill.

The ‘Materials of Magic’ workshop series teaches participants how to build a personal magical apothecary. (They are designed to be drop-in workshops, so you don't need to attend all of them.) The events in the series are: Making Magical Inks (18 Sep), Making Magical Salts (2 October), and Making Magical Oils (16 October). If the event has passed and you'd like to catch up, please contact onlineshop@treadwells-london.com to access delayed viewing.

*This event is free for Friends and Treadwelves.

Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
